The Alpha Academy of Healing Arts and Sciences provides local, cost-effective education and training for health care providers, as well as the southern Oregon community. Classes and workshops meet monthly at the SOU/RCC Higher Education Center in Medford, Oregon, and are designed to meet the needs of our rapidly changing health care system. Students now have the opportunity to experience a wide variety of healing arts and the newest scientific breakthroughs necessary for this new model of healing and health care. 

The Alpha Academy is pleased to offer Continuing Education Credits for nurses and other allied health professionals. The faculty is attuned to health care providers’ specific needs . . . whether it is exploring ancillary care options (such as music therapy, massage, energy work, etc.), preventing compassion fatigue in nurses, caring for the caregiver, or teaching a mind-body connection in the process of disease, chronic conditions, and dying. 

Emphasizing an integrative and holistic method of health care, the Alpha Academy combines conventional and alternative evidence-based therapies. It is a healing approach that addresses the whole person (body-mind-spirit) and includes all aspects of lifestyle. The general public and health care professionals alike are invited to discover how modern and holistic practices are uniquely honored, taught, and applied, in a fully integrated way.
